NXTGEN is seeking an exceptional Management Accountant to join a thriving company in an exciting period of growth. This Management Accountant position offers a unique opportunity for someone looking to transition from practice to industry or someone with experience in an SME business. As a Management Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in the business's financial strategy, working closely with senior leadership in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis
  • Support the forecasting process, including cash flow projections and variance analysis
  • Oversee the preparation of year-end accounts, working closely with auditors and external advisors
  • Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Reconcile balance sheets and ensure accuracy of financial data in line with accounting standards
  • Coordinate VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and assist with budgeting
  • Lead and maintain internal controls for financial processes, ensuring best practices are followed
  • Manage and track project-specific financials, providing insights into cost management
  • Assist in the preparation of key reports for senior management to support decision-making

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or working towards, with a strong background in management accounting
  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Familiar with accounting systems such as Sage (desirable)
  • Detail-focused with excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance teams
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
