As a Management Accountant, you'll go beyond the numbers, acting as a key business partner to senior leaders while taking ownership of critical financial operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to influence real business growth.

Your Role in Driving Success:

  • Deliver accurate and insightful monthly management accounts, providing analysis that drives key business decisions.
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring financial stability and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee year-end accounts preparation, collaborating with auditors to meet deadlines seamlessly.
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day financial operations, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations, staying ahead of any legislative changes.
  • Partner with department leads to track financial performance and provide cost-saving recommendations.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy across all accounting processes.
  • Monitor project financials, offering proactive solutions to manage costs and maximise profitability.
  • Support senior management with detailed financial reports and actionable insights.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or part-qualified with strong progress toward completion).
  • Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME environment.
  • Confident user of Excel, with the ability to handle data analysis and reporting (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Exposure to accounting software such as Sage is advantageous.
  • A problem-solver who's comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
