Join our team as a Management Accountant, a pivotal role within our Senior Management and Head Office Teams. This position offers the opportunity to lead on crucial financial management tasks including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting, while also enhancing the financial acumen of our Operations Managers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee statutory financial reporting for audit in compliance with SORP regulations.
- Prepare annual and 3-year projected budgets.
- Manage the Head Office Finance function and line manage the Finance Assistant.
- Complete and submit annual returns for the Charity Commission and Companies House.
- Collaborate closely with external auditors.
- Ensure accurate financial data management using the Sage Intacct system.
- Provide training and support to Operations Managers on financial principles and budgeting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACCA, CIMA qualification, part-qualified, or equivalent substantial experience in management accounting.
- Strong ability to develop, produce, and review monthly management accounts.
- Collaborative approach with the capability to influence service managers, senior managers, and Trustees.
- Strategic planning skills with the ability to monitor financial matters and implement plans for continual improvement.
- Experience in the charity sector is advantageous.
- This position is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at basic level.
