We are seeking an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts department within a thriving construction company. You will be part of a supportive and friendly office environment, managing a complete range of accounting responsibilities and contributing to the financial efficiency of our operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

Oversee all aspects of accounts including bookkeeping, payments, and payroll.

Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and prepare financial reports.

Process invoices and follow up on receivables.

Handle monthly payroll operations and maintain employee records.

Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ledger balancing.

Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and controls.

Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
