Business Support Team LeaderColchester 30K-35KRole Summary:This exciting team leadership role will see you managing a business support team within a leading financial services organisation. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, implementing new systems to enhance efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.You'll work closely with the Business Support Manager, ensuring the team provides exceptional administrative support across the organisation while contributing to continuous improvements in workflows, client service, and resource management.  You'll get to know everyone across the business in this role!The role demands an experienced team leader with excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage workloads, and a talent for building relationships both internally and externally. A hands-on approach and the flexibility to handle a variety of tasks will be key to success.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the business support team, managing workload and delegating tasks
  • Implement new technologies and systems to improve business support functions and overall efficiency
  • Monitor workflows, ensuring processes are efficient and meet legal and regulatory requirements
  • Take a proactive approach to handling service requests and act as a point of escalation for client queries
  • Ensure all business support activities comply with legal and regulatory standards

Key Skills:
  • Proven experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.  Perhaps you have been a PA in a financial services organisation looking to diversify your role?
  • Financial services experience, familiarity with accountancy software and understanding of business support processes within an accountancy practice desirable 
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both clients and colleagues
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, capable of prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment
