Accounts Payable Assistant

Location: Colchester Hours: Full-time, office-basedSalary: Competitive and negotiable, based on experience (Circa £30k)

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about finance? Hays are delighted to be supporting a dynamic organisation to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant, who will play a crucial role in supporting the team. There is an opportunity to support on an interim basis too, so if you're immediately available, get in touch for a chat!Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process approximately 500 invoices, credit notes, and expenses each month, ensuring they are correctly coded and approved.
  • Manage weekly batch payment runs and handle ad hoc payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements with precision.
  • Support various aspects of the finance team and participate in exciting ad hoc projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in an Accounts payable/ Purchase ledger role
