We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our client's finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our strong financial practices and upholding excellent client relationships.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the credit control process to ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and letters to follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions with clients.
  • Reconcile client accounts and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of outstanding debts and actions taken.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to address any billing issues.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
  • Implement and maintain effective credit control procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
Working Hours:
  • Full-time hours, typically 37.5 hours per week.
  • Flexibility to accommodate business needs.
Duration:
  • Temporary position for a period of 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business requirements.
