Job Purpose

  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing workflow, deadlines, and budgets
  • Overseeing the smooth-running of the team, reviewing work, delivering training and providing feedback
  • Planning and undertaking assignments, striving to deliver service excellence
  • Monitoring team performance and tracking targets
  • Closely monitoring deadlines and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
  • Using computer software such as IRIS, Sage, Xero and Quickbooks
  • Contributing to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients
  • Building trusted and long-lasting client relationships, proactively handing queries
  • Reviewing processes and implementing more efficient ways of service delivery
  • Setting an example to junior staff as a hands-on Manager

The Successful Candidate

  • ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified
  • At least five years' post-qualification experience
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio within practice
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to learn new ones quickly
  • Previous experience leading a team, reviewing work and providing mentorship
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional, reliable and keen to progress within the firm
  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude towards problem-solving
  • Analytically minded, with strong commercial acumen
