We're currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager to work with a leading brand in the UK based in Colchester, to lead the finance function and support the managing director, lead on budgeting & forecasts, provide analysis to senior stakeholders, take responsibility for process improvements plus much more!!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to really progress their career.

Paying up to £60,000, 25 days holiday, Home based but with 1 day a week in the London office, company pension plus many more!

Role and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with FRS 102 accounting standards, including the maintenance of supporting schedules (fixed asset register, accrued income, accruals etc.)
  • Development of a comprehensive financial pack for the board
  • Maintenance of forecasting models, including cash flow forecasting
  • Oversight of day-to-day book-keeping, using Xero software (experienced Bookkeeper will continue part time)
  • Management of contract database – application of key terms to client and supplier billing
  • Management of the monthly payroll process, with the support of external professionals
  • Completion of the statutory accounts year-end process, including schedule completion and accounts review, with the support of external professionals
  • Credit management, including managing and promptly resolving queries
  • Taxation compliance including annual Corporation tax and quarterly VAT returns

Candidate Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent personal organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable in working remotely and, where required, travelling to offices in varying locations (minimum requirement to work in London office location 1 day per week)
  • Keen to get involved in all aspects of the business
