MacKenzie King are recruiting a Finance Manager to join a business based on the outskirts of Colchester. As a Finance Manager you will take responsibility of the day-to-day financial management and controls for the business. You will produce accurate and insightful management information to assist in decision making.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Production monthly management accounts including full commentary and variance analysis and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Short term cashflow forecasting and day to day management of the bank
  • Leading on operational aspects of budgeting process, consolidation of sales and cost base, co-ordination of budget timetable and preparing budget P&L, balance sheets, cashflows etc.
  • Principle point of contact for external auditors and corporate tax advisors including yearend analysis, working paper preparation, statutory disclosures and analysis etc.
  • Uploading of purchase invoices, posting of credit card and bank transactions and raising of supplier payments
  • Raising of sales invoices, credit control and debt reporting
  • VAT returns and submissions
  • Ensuring a robust control environment and enforcing adherence to financial processes across the wider business

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Sage experience is advantageous
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to influence non-finance staff and build solid working relationships
  • Comfortable challenging others where necessary and offering solutions to day-to-day issues.
