Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Salary Scale: £85 - £100 per day
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Colchester, providing essential support to students with special educational needs. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a crucial role in inspiring and encouraging pupils to develop their knowledge and confidence across various disciplines in a supportive and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver lessons, contributing to Individual Student Plans (ISPs).
- Support students through direct practical interaction, caring for their educational and personal welfare in a teaching and supervisory capacity.
- As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be responsible for accompanying and supervising students during educational visits and school activities, such as swimming, ice skating, and horse riding.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of learning resources and ensure the classroom environment is safe and conducive to learning.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, simplifying tasks and presenting information in a manner tailored to each student's needs.

- Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 46.2 weeks per year

- Can foster strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and outside agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Is willing to participate in physical activities, such as swimming and sports, and help with students’ personal hygiene needs.
