We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music to join our thriving Music Department at a mixed secondary school in the heart of Colchester. The Music Department is a dynamic and exciting place, offering students a rich and diverse musical education. With a strong uptake of students in GCSE Music, A Level Music, and A Level Music Technology, and weekly lessons for all students at KS3, we are committed to delivering high-quality music education across the school.
As a Teacher of Music at our Colchester school, you will play a key role in maintaining and furthering the success of a department that not only delivers a strong academic curriculum but also fosters a love for music through a range of extracurricular activities, including ensembles, concerts, school productions, and instrumental lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons
- Support the delivery of GCSE Music, A Level Music, and A Level Music Technology
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular music activities such as ensembles, concerts, and productions
- Contribute to the continued innovation of our music curriculum, particularly in the area of music technology
- Help maintain the school's status as a Music Mark School and as a Musical Futures Music Technology Champion School

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher of Music with experience teaching across KS3 and KS4
