MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Payroll Administrator for an impressive organisation based in Colchester. As a Payroll Administrator, you will work as part of a close-knit team to ensure smooth running of the payroll process.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Payroll Manager in processing of 2 monthly payrolls, including payroll checking and analysis, accurately and on time.
  • Daily monitoring of mailbox, dealing with payroll queries
  • Produce, analyse and present regular weekly and monthly reports using excel to other departments and senior management teams. Including ad hoc report requests
  • Process Mileage and expenses claims
  • Process contract changes and check correct payment
  • Process new starters weekly
  • Check sickness pay and fit notes correctly recorded
  • Process Maternity, Paternity leave and assess payment
  • Raise out of cycle payments as required
  • Assist Manager with preparation of monthly pension reports and Auto enrolment
  • Assist with new systems implementation as required
  • Deliver system training to new users

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience within a payroll role
  • Strong Excel and analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective time management and the ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Highly trusted to deal with confidential information
  • Relevant payroll qualification or willingness to undertake study
