Your new company

Staffing Centre are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Therapeutic Residential Children's Home who require a Therapeutic Practitioner to join their passionate and dynamic team, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 to focus on their homes located in Glemsford, Suffolk - Tiptree, Colchester - Mayland and Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.

All Residential Children Homes are registered to provide care and support for young people of mixed gender, aged 8 - 17 with Challenging and Emotional Behavioural difficulties.

Your new role

The Therapeutic Practitioner in this exciting position will support the Deputy Manager and the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day care planning of the home, whilst also offering 1:1 and group meetings with the young people in the home and support the team in creating targeted therapeutic care plans and key-work for the young people. The Therapeutic Practitioner will be able to assist with education planning so that schools are able to best support the young people while also leading 1:1 supervisions and group supervisions with the team.

The therapeutic practitioner will be required to join the young people’s placement planning meetings, CIC meetings, PEP meetings and have monthly meetings with each young persons in house key team to ensure progress and targeted support is offered to the young people in line with therapeutic program.

Requirements

  • Full "Right to Work".
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Proven experience as a Therapeutic Practitioner within a childrens/young persons environment.
