An esteemed residential developer in Essex is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in the residential sector to contribute to high-quality residential projects.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of residential development projects
- Leading the commercial team and overseeing cost control measures
- Procuring and managing subcontractor agreements
- Conducting detailed cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Monitoring project financial performance and reporting to senior management
- Handling variations, change orders, and contractual matters effectively
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and contractual obligations
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the residential sector
- Strong knowledge of residential development projects and construction processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Track record of successful cost control and project delivery
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Proficiency in industry-standard surveying software and tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
