School Liaison Officer

4myschools are workling with a Primary School based in Colchester, Essex who are looking to recruit a permanent School Liaison Officer.

The role is being covered internally whilst we look for the right candidate, so it has an ASAP start date and the school can be flexible to meet your availability.

The position is school based, for approximately 25.5 hours a week that can worked across 4 or 5 days. Please discuss your preference at interview.

You will be working with high needs children and vulnerable families across the school age range, facilitating task meetings at school to discuss their needs and support them in contacting and meeting the other agencies involved in their care.

This is a pastoral role with a holistic approach. The school are looking for someone with similar experience and knowledge of supporting those with SEND and who arevulnerable.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced, Child Workforce DBS
  • Previous experience of working with children with SEND children and vulnerable children/families
  • A patientand empathetic manner
  • Skills in leading and working as part of a team
