Reed are partnered with a large Construction/manufacturer who are looking for a Project Manager specialising in structural steel, cladding, and associated works. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects from inception through to site erection management, working closely with a supportive team under the guidance of the Operations Director.
Day-to-day of the role:- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, schedules, resources, equipment, and milestones.
- Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, designers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Allocate and manage resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
- Supervise on-site teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Project Manager within the structural steel/construction environment.
- Relevant knowledge of structural steel, cladding, metal decking, and the design and build process.
- Full driving licence.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks or projects.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
