Farm Business and Agronomy Manager

We are seeking a talented Farm Business and Agronomy Manager to join a leading supplier in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the procurement of malting barley and other grains and the sale of agricultural inputs to growers while managing the company's debt profile and maintaining strong relationships within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise grain procurement from growers through forward contracts and spot purchasing techniques
  • Drive the sale of agricultural supplies, maintaining a profitable mix based on regional and climatic factors
  • Provide timely feedback on market trends to the product management function
  • Ensure an acceptable debt profile in line with credit control policies
  • Identify and develop new business within your region
  • Offer technical agronomy services to the grower base, ensuring effective crop production
  • Assist in achieving company budgets and targets through collaboration and team success

Key Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of agriculture and arable cropping
  • Confident in trading directly with farmers and managing relationships
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Computer literate, with good proficiency in MS Office

Education & Experience:

  • FACTS and BASIS qualifications are beneficial. Training will be provided
  • Previous experience in grain procurement, agronomy, or agriculture is advantageous
