About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller with experience in managing project documentation within the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring all project documentation is effectively managed, stored, and distributed in line with company policies and industry standards.

Experience with BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is essential, as the role involves supporting projects that adhere to sustainable building practices.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, control, and maintain project documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement efficient document control processes, including version control, filing, and archiving.
  • Monitor document workflows and ensure timely distribution of information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the project team in preparing and submitting documentation for BREEAM compliance and certification.
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and consistent documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and update records to ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the document management system (e.g., Viewpoint, Aconex, or similar platforms), ensuring accessibility and security of sensitive information.
  • Prepare reports and assist in audits as required.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in document control within the construction or built environment sector.
  • Strong knowledge of BREEAM requirements and processes.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and digital collaboration tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
