To drive a Conwy County Borough Council vehicle for the purpose of collecting nappies and Absorbent Hygiene Products waste from households county wide.
To follow a collection round, completing the round, whilst providing a high level of service. Adhering to the Councils safe working procedures.
To tip off the vehicles contents at a specified location on a daily basis. Use of in cab screen to complete the collection rounds and to report any property issues via the in cab screen i.e. any presentation / contamination issues. To deal effectively with members of the public and to resolve service issues on site.
Basic literacy skills.
Full EU driving licence
Experience of manual work and safe manual handling procedures.
Understanding of health and safety issues in waste collection
Knowledge of council recycling policy
Good standard of driving skill as evaluated by a driving assessment.
Experience of working in recycling or refuse collection.
Good geographic knowledge of Conwy County.
The ability to communicate in English is essential.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
