Job Description
Were looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join one of our prestigious clients based in Congleton!
Youll be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts, ensuring all work complies with engineering drawings and quality standards. Youll play a key role in maintaining high production efficiency and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
- Interpret engineering drawings and associated paperwork to determine correct manufacturing processes
- Ensure calibration of measuring and production equipment before use
- Select and set up tools, reporting any defects or worn tooling
- Record time expended and components lost on internal system
- Comply with quality standards and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
- Use tools and machinery to machine components to specified dimensions
- Program CNC equipment and ensure efficient machining cycles
- Inspect work to ensure it meets required standards
- Participate in training and support the training of new personnel
Hours
Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm
Pay
£16.83 per hour / £31,505.76 per annum
Skills/Experience Required
- Engineering environment experience
- CNC machining and programming of multi-axis equipment
- Experience with manufacturing jigs and assembly aids
- Proficiency in using production tooling and machinery
- NVQ Level 3 Engineering apprenticeship
- Ability to inspect and measure work accurately
- Competence in reading engineering drawings and following job cards
- Enthusiastic, can-do attitude, and ability to work under pressure
