Surface mount Production Operative

  • Congleton CW12 1UW
  • Starting at 13.96 per hour, increase to 14.31 after training.
  • In addition to the base salary, overtime rates will be provided for any additional hours worked.
  • Ongoing contract
  • Shifts offered: 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00 on a weekly rotation (must be able to work both shifts)

We are currently seeking a Surface Mount Production Operative to join our client's team in Congleton. As a Surface Mount Production Operative, you will perform assembly duties fitting components to printed circuit boards .

Duties:

  • Preparing electronic components for production
  • Using tools to assist with the assembly process
  • Working with a high degree of accuracy
  • Working to drawings and bills of material
  • Conducting testing on assembled products
  • Resolve routine manufacturing-related problems to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Carrying out all tasks in compliance with company health and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in surface-mount technology or assembly operations is preferred but not essential. Our client is willing to provide training for motivated individuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexible with working different shift patterns, including the double-day shift rotation.
