About the RoleAs a Graduate Town Planner, you will work on a wide range of planning applications, from residential developments to mixed-use projects. You'll be involved in managing projects, preparing planning applications, and liaising with key stakeholders including local authorities, consultants, and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of planning policies and regulations, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications
- Contribute to planning reports, assessments, and technical documents
- Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies
- Support senior team members in stakeholder engagement and consultations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, legislation, and guidelines
- Provide general planning advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Attend site meetings and planning hearings when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related field
- A basic understanding of UK planning legislation and processes
- Some experience within a planning environment (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
