As the Operations Coordinator you will be working for a growing business in Congleton, responsible for the planning and administration of production activity to deliver customer orders to on time delivery and efficiency targets.

Working for a manufacturing and distribution business, you will be providing support across logistics, production, operations, sales, invoicing, and general office administration. Flexibility and a proactive mindset are key, as is confidently juggling multiple priorities.

This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of business operations. Key duties will include:

  • Operating the ERP system and production planning system to issue works orders to the warehouse and despatch/invoice completed orders.
  • Raise purchase orders and despatch paperwork for outwork procedures.
  • Provide reports to senior management on KPI’s and distribute key reports and compliance reports to key internal personnel and clients.
  • Sourcing suppliers of packaging, equipment and transport to meet the business standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate scrap waste material and obtain best available price for sale.
  • Input required data to manage customs warehouse procedures.
  • Work with Production to provide packaging information and solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Organise transport for incoming goods when required.
  • Obtain information regarding imports and exports and complete relevant documentation.
  • Management of in-house systems and identify any process improvements.
  • Support the sales function - quoting customers, producing estimates and loading orders.

What you need to succeed?

  • Communicates well with all levels within the business.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
