Here in Consett, we have a team of around 280 colleagues. We produce a range of chilled ready meals for some of the UK's leading retailers, including Co-op, Sainsbury's and Weight Watchers.
Day shift - £11.96 per hour
What you'll be doing
Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Despatch Team to meet customer order requirements, conforming to all food safety and health and safety procedures whilst effectively supervising operatives within the area.
- Pick orders according to customer requirements, ensuring orders are picked from correct despatch location
- Load vehicles, ensuring that the correct orders are despatched to customers' requirements
- Ensure that stock is rotated within the area ensuring that stock is picked and despatched in the correct sequence
- Work closely with the team to ensure a high standard of service delivery, and continuously improve the function of the department
- Promote a good health, safety, and environmental culture within the department
- Housekeeping as required, according to Health & Safety, to ensure the safe and smooth running of the department
- Problem resolution within agreed process
What we're looking for
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience of operating machinery and FLTs (Training can be given)
- L2 Food Safety
- L2 Health and Safety
