We have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our head office in Corby, Northamptonshire.

The Finance Assistant role:

As our current Finance Placement heads back to university, we are looking to replace him with a permanent hire. We’re looking for a detail-orientated and motivated Finance Assistant to join our team. If you have a passion for numbers, enjoy problem-solving, and want to develop your career in finance, we’d love to hear from you!

Main responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

  • Administering and analysing hours worked via Connecteam app
  • Reconciling credit card statements and processing transactions
  • Assisting with day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices, expenses, and payments
  • Handling queries related to invoices, payments, and account discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
  • Supporting the finance team in preparing financial reports
  • Supporting with month end processes
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations

Our ideal Finance Assistant will have the below skills and experience:

  • Experience within a company finance team
  • A Finance/Accounting or related qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable but not essential
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Experience of administering CIS and DRC is desirable but not essential
  • Independence and self-reliance
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
  • Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated
  • A team player
  • Communicating with suppliers and customers professionally and courteously
  • A positive, can-do attitude that fits our team culture
