Pertemps are seeking a Quality Engineer, ideally from an automation or automotive background to work with our client based in Corby. This role has become available through progression of the incumbent Quality Engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field is desired.
  • Possess a working knowledge of ISO 9000 / TS 16949 Quality System standard.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy, principles and objectives of the total quality process is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at every level of the organisation from floor employees to senior management.
  • Working knowledge of human relations, group dynamics, and problem solving techniques is required.
  • Analytical ability and creativity in the areas of problem solving and group dynamics with a high degree of initiative.
  • Laboratory experience, including metallurgical knowledge is preferred.
  • ASP or ASME certification is preferred.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining, implementing and improving the Quality Program through execution of the following:
  • Development and conduction of training to establish a knowledge base.
  • Hands-on use of tools with the purpose of spreading knowledge through execution, while at the same time generating improvements to processes or situations.
  • Facilitate the SPC program, practices and systems, along with their effectiveness.
  • Take responsibility for Gage R&R procedures, practices and systems, along with their effectiveness.
  • Serving as CAR system coordinator, assisting Managers with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action development.
