Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Corby
Salary: £39,000 - £42,000
Hours: 45 hours per week - rotating shifts 6:00-15:00 / 9:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)

We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer that is experiencing continuous growth. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining production machinery, ensuring maximum productivity. You will be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, working within health and safety regulations. Supported by a strong team of engineers, this position offers progressive training and development in a secure and stable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring quick repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance across the facility.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all plant equipment is compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors when required.
  • Oversee apprentices, providing guidance and support in their development.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained with a recognized engineering qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
