Red Recruitment are looking for a Quality Technician for our client based in Corby.

Purpose of Position:

Conduct all Quality activities including Quality Control of Product, Testing and Inspection activities, Product Training for Operators, Support for Product Claim Management and the Development of Root Cause Analysis Must perform all of these functions within own specialist discipline.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Responsible for ensuring the inspection of internally produced product meet the quality standards and systems required by Customers.

Provide QC support for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Controls Plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes as and when required by the Quality Manager

May be invited as a member of a team appointed for the development of Process FMEA documents and has the delegated authority to determine Risk Levels and Mitigation Actions with specific expertise in Quality Issues and measurement techniques.

Ensure that all quality control activities are performed in a controlled manner and with sufficient accuracy to ensure high levels of confidence in the results

General and Task Management

Implement all relevant processes described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance

Work as part of the Quality Team and respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures

Support a program for the implementation and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture.

Identify updates needed for quality documentation

Participate after training with System, Process and Product audits of the Quality Management System (QMS)

Establish and refine quality instructions, standards and documentation in conjunction with the Quality Manager

Participate in regular inspection meetings with production and quality team members to establish an action plan for improving quality

Produce written reports as required.

Undertake continuous training and development

Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver quality.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 6-2pm 2-10pm Rotation shift work.
