Streamline Search are currently partnered with a construction company in Corby looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their growing team.

As Quantity Surveyor at our clients business, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You will work to ensure that construction projects are completed within budget, ensure the cost-effectiveness and profitability of the projects.

Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Manage contract changes and variations to the project scope.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tendering and selecting contractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and track project costs, identifying any deviations from the budget.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and cost forecasts.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and ensure value for money.
  • Identify and assess potential project risks related to costs.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and updates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide advice on contractual and financial matters throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the resolution of disputes and claims.
  • Conduct post-project cost analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of cost management strategies.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for future projects.

Quantity Surveyor

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
