The client is seeking a talented Procurement & Supplier Relationship Manager to join their team and drive their procurement strategy forward. They operate across various sectors, including aviation, automotive, airports, defence, manufacturing, and pharma and life sciences, working with global blue-chip organisations. Recognised as the fastest-growing company in their sector, having grown from £7m to £50m turnover in the last five years through organic growth.Your new role: As the Procurement & Supplier Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing supplier relationships, ensuring the procurement of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective procurement solutions. Key responsibilities include:Developing and implementing procurement strategiesManaging supplier performance and relationships, focusing on the top 30-40 suppliersNegotiating contracts and agreementsEnsuring compliance with procurement policies and proceduresIdentifying cost-saving opportunities and driving continuous improvement initiativesOverseeing the procurement process for new sales, ensuring strategic supplier development and consolidated spendingYou will also manage the following teams through their supervisors:Admin Team: Handling supplier data crunching and customer serviceCompliance Team: Ensuring suppliers meet all compliance regulationsThis role requires you to be on-site 2 to 3 days a week in Northamptonshire, providing a balance of remote and in-office work.What you need to succeed: To be successful in this role, you will need:Proven experience in procurement and supplier relationship managementStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsAbility to influence and win hearts and mindsA proactive and strategic mindsetBackground in manufacturing or industrial sectors What you'll get in return: In return for your expertise and dedication, you will receive:A competitive salary of £55,000 to £60,000 Some flexibility possible for exceptional candidates)Car allowanceIf you are a motivated and experienced procurement professional looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
