A family run business that specialises in Port Terminal Operations they are looking for Container Repair.



The candidate will be expected to service, maintain, and repair containers

Job description



Background:



You will be working with the team at the clinents Container Terminal in the Port of London Gateway



This role will be an Estimator/Container Repairer working with the container maintenance and repair team.



There is one full time role available. This role is day shift.







Main Duties:



Fabrication welding and straightening of ISO Containers which involve repairs and replacement of components or sections.



General engineering works to include fitting of patches, insulation, door hardware, weatherproof seals, drains and ventilation.



Replacement and sectioning of Plywood flooring.



Painting of all repairs that have been completed.



General labour duties associated with container repairs.



Surveying and estimating containers on arrival to site.



Sweep out sound containers to a dry and clean standard.



Inspect units for high spec grades including food, cdof and malt.



Create estimates using Intermodal Manager software. This should include all key information and photographs.



Learn and use CEDEX coding for damage units.



Promote a positive working culture.



Requirements:



Experience in a surveying and repairing containers.



Good attitude towards health & safety.



UK driving licence preferred.



Ability to communicate with staff and customers.



Ability to work in a busy, sometimes high-pressured environment.



Ability to read lists and follow instructions.



Basic use of email and applications on tablets/phones.
