Description
The Transport Manager will be responsible for;
- Manage and lead the transport department to ensure the efficient delivery of products.
- Implement and maintain logistics procedures and systems in line with company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems.
- Maintain relationships with transport providers and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
- Address any transport related issues or complaints swiftly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with transport regulations.
- Develop transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times within the transport department.
Profile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
- An International CPC Qualification
- Proven experience in a logistics or transport management role within the Transport industry.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and policies.
- Proficiency in logistics software and other relevant computer applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
