The Role

We are seeking an exceptional and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering engaging lessons and achieving excellent outcomes at Key Stages 4 and 5. You will play a vital role in shaping the future aspirations of our students, fostering a love for business, and preparing them for academic and career success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies that engage, challenge, and inspire students.
  • Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level curricula.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and assessments in line with the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Support and guide students in preparing for exams, coursework, and real-world business applications.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Business Studies or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies at Key Stages 4 and 5, with a strong track record of student achievement.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to excel in business education.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience with vocational qualifications such as BTEC Business.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in business education, including digital tools and resources.
  • A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, such as enterprise clubs or business competitions.
