About the roleWe have a great opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the Society’s finance team.  You will be based at our Head Office site in Binley, but we are fully committed to working flexibly with hybrid working so splitting your time between home and office is possible.This is an exciting time to join Finance, as we are increasing the number and variety of tasks within the External Reporting space and to get involved in a broad spectrum of activity.The Financial Accountant will take a lead role in the month end process for the Society and its subsidiaries, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.  In addition, the role holder will prepare analysis of statutory positions and oversight of the balance sheet.This role involves technical aspects of financial accounting, such as intercompany and group consolidation. It will also include statutory and regulatory reporting, producing quality output within a set timeframe.Additionally, the role will drive continuous improvement in the month-end process and collaborate with stakeholders including external auditors and other areas of the Society.Closing date: We reserve the right to close this advert early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.What we offer: https://about-us/what-we-offer.aspxOur benefits include:
