Job Title: Financial Controller Location: CoventryEmployment Type: Full-Time, On-Site (5 days a week) Industry: Manufacturing About the Role:Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Coventry, is currently looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior finance professional to take on a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and operational efficiency across the group. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the company's financial health, overseeing all financial operations, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. This is an on-site role, requiring five days a week in Coventry. Key Responsibilities:Lead the group's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Produce consolidated financial reports, management accounts, and statutory accounts for the group. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team, aiding business planning and decision-making. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and manage financial risks across the group. Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, highlighting trends and identifying potential risks. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders. Oversee, develop, and mentor the finance team, driving improvements and ensuring effective financial processes are in place. Key Requirements:ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent). Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance. Experience leading and developing a finance team. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and offer strategic insights. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
