An SME Manufacturing business based near Coventry are seeking to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for an initial period of 3-6 months.

Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller

    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
    • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
    • Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies, including tax filings and audits.
    • Monitor and manage cash flows, ensuring the company has sufficient funds to meet its operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or Qualified by Experience with relevant manufacturing sector experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Proficient in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
