Description
- Oversee and manage group financial reporting processes
- Provide financial analysis and insights to aid strategic decision making
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Improve financial systems and processes
- Prepare financial statements and annual reports
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support in ad-hoc financial projects as required
Profile
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing industries
- Strong understanding of financial processes and regulations
- Experience of working in a financial reporting role within a large multi-national business
- Experience in producing and reviewing complex financial statements under IFRS
- Expert in IFRS financial reporting requirements including awareness of upcoming changes and UK reporting trends
- Articulate with great influencing and communicating skills to build effective relationships with a variety of different stakeholders
- A willingness to challenge existing processes and proactively identify improvements
- Inquisitive and detail focused - happy to dig into information to find solutions to issues
- Proficient in use of MS office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Fluent in English
