Accounts Assistant

Macildowie are working with a business based in Coventry, West Midlands, looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to join a supportive finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies between statements and the purchase ledger.

• Processing supplier invoices, including weekly supplier payment runs.

• Handling weekly wage processing.

• Posting and agreement of expenses.

• Performing bank reconciliations and posting bank transactions.

• General administration tasks and supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties.

Candidate Requirements:

• Personable, analytical, and hardworking.

• Excellent initiative and strong communication skills.

• Confident in speaking with suppliers and resolving queries related to wages, expenses, and payments.

• Purchase ledger and accounting experience is preferred, but no formal qualifications are required.

• Experience with Sage software would be advantageous.
