Role Purpose

To support the organization in delivering quality milestones related to the introduction of new and existing products. This includes the implementation of IATF 16949 and AS9100 Rev D, utilizing the current Business Management System (BMS).

Main Duties

Prepare customer APQP and PPAP documents.

Promote customer-preferred techniques for continuous improvement, such as Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.

Participate in cross-functional teams for the development of new products or changes to current products to meet customer requirements.

Update FMEA, Control Plans, and internal documentation as required.

Contribute to the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEAs.

Perform statistical analysis of measurement results from capability studies and produce reports.

Interpret dimensional results and component GD&T.

Act as the direct interface between external customers, internal engineering/projects, and production teams.

Ensure quality milestones are achieved.

Lead 8D/root cause investigations and in-house containment activities, reporting findings to customers.

Create DMR reports, liaise with suppliers, and ensure thorough root cause analysis with verified closure actions.

Complete weekly quality KPIs and follow up on actions.

Conduct internal audits per the audit schedule and support action closure.

Manage customer audit actions and perform external audits when required.

Complete customer 8D reports on time and in full, as well as review and update supplier 8D reports.

Perform daily activities in line with current business accreditations (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).

Liaise with other departments to support procedural and process requirements.

Skills Required

Proven background in quality assurance with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in presenting to customers and internal stakeholders.

Positive attitude towards change and adaptability.

Strong planning and organizational skills to manage objectives and priorities effectively.

Analytical approach to problem-solving with practical solutions that challenge fixed ideas.

In-depth knowledge of quality assurance techniques, including Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP).

Ability to meet deadlines in demanding environments.

IATF 16949 audit experience.

AS9100 Rev D experience (mandatory).

Qualifications

HNC Qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Working Hours and Benefits

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30; Friday early finish.

Salary: 45,000 per annum.
