We are currently recruiting a bookkeeper for an established business in Warwickshire. The role will be working in their Coventry office working in a team of three completing the day-to-day accounts for three sites. This will be a busy and rewarding role and would suit someone who enjoys working within a busy office environment.

  • Salary 28,000
  • Working hours Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with 1hr lunch break (35 hours per week)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily banking transactions and reconciliation
  • Processing client invoices and completing inter account transfers
  • Managing petty cash
  • Completing month end routines and producing month end reports
  • Carrying out CHAP/BACS & inter-account transfers via online banking
  • Purchase Ledger posting and control
  • Data entry and filing

Skills and experience required:

  • Over 5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • AAT qualified / studying or ICB qualified desirable
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • IT proficient in Microsoft Office with good working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative, with confidentiality and discretion
  • Enjoys contributing to a collaborative team environment and assisting with administrative duties when required
