We are delighted to be partnering exclusively with The ExtraCare Charitable Trust to recruit a Business Analyst into the Digital Transformation team. The role is paying £45,000, plus benefits, inclusive of hybrid working.

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is a registered charity established in 1988, based in Coventry. They employ 1250 staff, with a turnover of over £60m plus over £70m of property sales, offering 4199 homes for older people.

Their vision is 'Better Lives for Older People' and their mission is to 'Create sustainable communities that provide homes older people want, lifestyles they can enjoy and care if it is needed.'

To deliver their vision and mission they essentially do three things:

  • Develop new villages.
  • Operate villages and schemes.
  • Support their villages, schemes and their 'extra-care' model through fundraising, advocacy & research.

Since 1988, ExtraCare has been the UK's leading not-for-profit pioneer for retirement living, opening 20 locations around their Midlands base and further South.

As a charity their surpluses are re-invested into charitable activities - helping them provide better services and support.

Business Analyst (Digital Transformation):

  • Understand business requirements from multiple stakeholders and prioritise them.
  • Interpret business requirements and simplify them for easy analysis for management to make strategic business decisions. Create detail documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
  • Recommend solutions based on the requirements identified, create change management proposals, that can help increase productivity and align with ExtraCare's goals and strategies.
  • Contribute to delivering the Digital Strategy to improve digital ways of working, optimise business operations and setting direction and approach for integrating information applications and programmes.
  • Work in close collaboration with project/programme managers to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations and project updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Producing end-to-end business process models.
  • Identifying risks in current and proposed IT systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimisation efforts.
  • Collecting, documenting business requirements and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test plans, ensuring business requirements are understood and delivered by suppliers.
  • Participate in UAT and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.
  • Supporting the Portfolio Manager in creating and maintaining standards and ways of working.

This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure where applicable, two satisfactory references, medical clearance and Home Office right to work clearance.

Business Analyst (Digital Transformation):

  • Effective interpersonal skills to establish good working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and contractors is essential.
  • Ideally, you will hold a LEAN, IT and/or Change Management Qualification. An ITIL Foundation Certificate (or equivalent) will also be considered. Please note, qualified by experience will also be accepted.
  • A good understanding of manual and IT systems integration and change management methodologies.
  • Experience in mapping functional requirements to solution options.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in creating various functional specifications by defining the business's needs.
  • A track record of developing data driven dashboards.
  • Ability to work on a large-scale system implementation project, such as a Housing Management System.
  • Practiced in training and mentoring to embed new IT capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skill with the ability to collect, organise and analyse data with accuracy.
  • Ability to understand the team's challenges and develop solutions and offer recommendations.

Business Analyst (Digital Transformation):

  • £45,000 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
