Basis: Full Time

Work Pattern: 37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:00 and Fridays 8:00-15:30 (although we may require Monday to Thursday 10:00-18:00 and Fridays 10:30-18:00, depending upon operational need)

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Manager, the Maintenance Planner will contribute to the provision of customer focussed end to end operational, planning, and administrative support to a team of Trade Engineers, Supervisors, Surveyors and Managers.  The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment, have a confident and friendly telephone manner, and excellent communication skills. Citizen offers plenty of development and support with development opportunities available throughout the organisation to explore other roles and gain additional skills and qualifications. The role will allow for a hybrid approach to working between the office and home locations.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Maintenance Planner will involve:

  • Raising, appointing, scheduling and completion of maintenance works orders to ensure that service targets are met.
  • Providing operational and administrative support to the team as required.
  • Seeking and responding to customer feedback in order to improve the service.
  • Ensuring colleagues and customers are kept informed of progress with maintenance related enquires, ensuring expectations are managed appropriately.
  • Working collaboratively and ensure effective communication with Supervisors, Trade Engineers and other colleagues to ensure effective delivery of the service.
  • Utilising all business management systems appropriately, ensuring compliance with standard operating models. Creating and reviewing processes documents to support working methodologies and noting any deviation for escalation.

As Maintenance Planner we need you to have:

  • Experience in using IT and Administration systems and equipment
  • Experience in performance monitoring and management systems
  • Experience in Electronic appointment systems
  • Ability to work in a team and deliver to targets
  • Understanding of office procedures and practices, and Housing maintenance procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbally, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to embrace change
  • Effectiveness in problem solving
