What You Will Do:
- Prepare samples, including instrument calibration samples and test samples from battery cell components, utilizing fume hoods, gloveboxes, calibrated pipettes, and balances.
- Operate the Gas-chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) instrument, ensuring accurate and efficient analysis.
- Support the Chemist in maintaining a safe and productive workflow of analytical samples through the laboratory.
- Adhere to safety documentation such as COSHH and risk assessments, following all procedures and safety instructions diligently.
- Create and maintain accurate records of analysis and write basic reports using PowerPoint and Excel.

What You Will Bring:
- Experience with practical chemistry techniques such as analytical balances, pipettes, and sample preparation.
- Proficiency in operating Gas-chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) instruments.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prepare liquid samples for analysis safely and communicate effectively in English.
- An HND or Degree in Chemistry, related science, or laboratory experience. Practical experience is highly valued.
