We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage mechanical systems for a large-scale commercial project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management experience, and a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the mechanical scope of commercial projects from start to finish, including planning, design, procurement, and execution.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop detailed project schedules and ensure mechanical work is completed within deadlines.
- Oversee budgeting and cost control to ensure the project stays within financial limits.
- Supervise and manage mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Review mechanical designs, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Resolve technical and construction issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, or similar role on large-scale commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and scheduling.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- PMP, LEED, or other project management certifications are a plus.
