We are advertising this Maintenance Engineer role on behalf of our client 'City Facilities Management’. City were established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.

Job Purpose:

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several sites

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with any major or minor maintenance work.
  • Complete the PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  • Responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
  • Although aligned to one site for the purpose of PPM completion there may be times that the Depot Maintenance Technician will be required to attend other depots to carry out work.
  • Attend training courses as and when necessary, by the company. Complying with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Work with company and Co-op colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times. Assisting City teams when requested.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with City and CO-OP colleagues.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI’s.
  • Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct process. Maintain accurate Time Sheets as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in Building Structures/Maintenance/ Engineering would be ideal.
  • Full Clean UK driving license is essential
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance
  • Response to service call requests within agreed response times
  • Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales
  • Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy
