Do you have Coach building or HGV fitting experience or a background as a mechanic and are you seeking a new job in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a full-time Coach builder HGV fitter/mechanic and the role comes with a contract rate of £19.00 PAYE or £25.00 umbrella/Ltd per hour working a day shift. The contract is a 6 months rolling contract.  

In your first few weeks in this coach building HGV fitter/mechanic role, you can expect to:

• Strip and rebuild Volvo HGV class 1 and 2 vehicles 
• Strip interior and exterior cab
• Modifications to covert to an Armoured HGV
• Removing base vehicle equipment and work within small cells fitting/integrating new parts/equipment. 
• Drilling and lifting and the use of an overhead crane
• Mostly mechanical but some basic electrical work at times such as connecting and looming. 
• Work on standardising all reference vehicles in line with project milestones

To apply for this Coach builder HGV Fitter/Mechanic role, you will need:

• Experience as a Coach builder, HGV fitter, PSV Fitter or Vehicle Technician.
• Vehicle conversation would also be advantageous 
• OEM track experience could also be considered. 
• Vehicle bodywork 
•  An affinity for and understanding of the design, engineering and manufacturing challenges of working with vehicles, ideally military vehicles
• Level 3 in heavy or light commercials 

You'll receive an excellent contract per hour rate of £19.00 PAYE or £25.00 umbrella/Ltd per hour in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
