A global leader in the special purpose machinery sector is seeking a Permanent Control Systems Engineer in Coventry, with an ASAP start date.
The role requires experience in designing electrical control systems and PLC programming, specifically with Siemens and Allen Bradley.
Candidates should possess at least 18 months of relevant experience and be 18th Edition qualified, with a degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
The position offers a salary of £45,000 per year and includes benefits such as life assurance and a government pension scheme.
The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 3:30 PM, with some international travel involved.

Taking client specifications and translating into systematic engineering design specifications and development system solutions
Designing electrical control systems mostly amend existing designs. Producing details drawings in line with specifications
Amending and designing control systems PLC & HMI software, mostly working with Siemens and Allen Bradley
Producing testing plans. Also leading the pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing (FAT/SAT) and site installation. Managing contractors/subcontractors for projects
Technically supporting abroad sites with maintenance issues, troubleshooting remotely before requiring to attend site.

Control Systems EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Experience in Electrical Design for control systems
PLC Programming experience (Allen Bradley or Siemens)
18th Edition qualified
Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics
