Electrical Project Engineer - Coventry - £40,000 to £50,000 + Benefits

Melbreck Technical are working with a renowned designer and manufacturer of specialist products used in the Marine, Rail and Leisure industry.

Due to a very successful 2023 and a great start to the 2024 financial year, they are looking to grow their technical function and as such they are looking to hire an Electrical project Engineer to join their team ASAP.


Electrical Project Engineer - Responsibilities:

As the Electrical Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in translating electrical designs into executable projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective implementation and commissioning. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with various divisional stakeholders to ensure their solutions align with client requirements, adhere to safety standards, maintain quality and meet project timelines.

Your expertise and dedication will be pivotal in further elevating their reputation as an industry leader in industrial electrical design and build installations.


Electrical Project Engineer Candidate Requirements:

While specific qualifications are not mandatory, a broad and deep knowledge base acquired through a varied career path is essential.

Extensive experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record in project execution and commissioning.

Operational and maintenance engineering background, with significant experience in successful plant improvements.

Ability to understand machinery operations without direct observation and identify process bottlenecks to suggest and implement improvements.

Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting and working with 3D models and design schematics.

Hands-on experience with commissioning electrical installations and facilitating the transition to full production.

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with designers, maintenance teams, and stakeholders.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft office packages to include Excel, Project etc.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Experience across multiple engineering disciplines is essential to include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation.

Experience in material handling, heavy industrial machinery, or similar sectors would be advantageous.


Electrical Project Engineer Travel Requirements:

The role is hybrid requiring nationwide travel, necessitating site visits to various locations across the UK.

Visits to offices in Coventry, Stoke, supply chain partners, and other locations as required.

A company vehicle will be provided, complete with a fuel card.
