Job Title: Assistant Bid Manager / Estimator

Location:Coventry

This forward-thinking employer are driven by their core values and are now looking for an Assistant Bid Manager to join their growing team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Learn and Appreciate the role of Health and Safety - understand that there is "no compromise on safety"
  • Always demonstrate high standards of conduct and performance, personifying teamwork
  • Interest in and appreciation of the Construction and Timber Frame industry.
  • Use of relevant design software packages to create detailed and accurate 3D tender models
  • Extraction of relevant data from 3D modelling software and use of Excel cost plans to derive costs and bid submission documents
  • Working with Business Development Managers and Bid Managers to learn and understand how project tender submissions develop.
  • Maintaining & updating standard actions and documentation based on the Complete Delivery Process

 

Required Skills:

  • 5 GCSE's at Grade C (4) or above which must include Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Knowledge, experience and skills using CAD software packages including REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge, experience and skills using Excel and other Microsoft based software packages
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, design teams, clients, and subcontractors.
